About To Unearth

Our mission is simple: to unearth the truth rooted in the ordinary. In today’s culture, ordinary has turned into a four-letter word. Society tells us we are exceptional, we are perfect just the way we are, we are not to be contradicted, we are anything but ordinary.

For Christ-followers, this turns into the weight of making an exceptional difference for God. Suddenly, ordinary isn’t good enough. But what if God used the ordinary just as often as the exceptional? What if there was a purpose for the ordinary things in life?

To Unearth means to “bring to light.” It is our desire to bring to light the exceptional using the ordinary. To use the Word of God to dig up truth.

Oswald Chambers said it beautifully in his book, “My Utmost for His Highest.”

“It is inbred in us that we have to do exceptional things for God: but we have not. We have to be exceptional in the ordinary things, to be holy in mean streets, among mean people, and this is not learned in five minutes.”

Here’s to learning how to unearth the ordinary.
